Munster v Edinburgh

Look I won’t go into the reasons behind our loss last Friday only to say that’s it’s the same old problem of turning possession into scores, a thing Leinster seem to have no problem with given that they were restricted to scraps for most of the game yet still came out with the win. If we even had something close to the percentage of scores to possession/back row moves Leinster do, we would be a much potent force on the score board.

Anyway, all that aside there was, the IRFU nearly made a balls of the whole thing. Inept planning and lack of foresight led to thousands of supporters being stuck outside the stadium as the match kicked off. The game wasn’t even delayed to let the crowd filter in. There were no stewards outside explaining the situation. The only styles that were open were the ones right down the end under the East Stand. Only after some of the crowd started shouting and things looked like getting a bit hairy did the gates finally open and we were all left in for free. Bit of a crush when the gates opened but nothing too bad. So you can add a couple of thousand to the official attendance as there was no way of knowing how many of us were left in like this. Sport AGH
